Hotel Nikko Bali Takes Action in Earth Day Through its Hydroponic Farm
22 April 2021NewsTo demonstrate support for environmental protection, Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach has started hydroponic cultivation at Nikko Farm. This is one of the actions to curb the Earth’s damage instead of celebrating its euphoria, taglines, campaign, or merely on paper.
This vertical crop starts in early March 2021. And in conjunction with Earth Day falls on April 22nd, 2021, the hotel is harvesting for the first time at its Nikko Farm.
Green lettuce and mustard are the main vertical plants, and 80% of them are being successfully harvested. In addition to the hydroponic produce cultivation at Nikko Farm, there are also several vegetables and herbs grown in the soil of the property. Such as; kale, eggplant, broccoli, mint leaves, basil, and banana blossom.
All of these crops are immediately processed into Salad Banana Blossom with Prawn, Green Salad, and Sautéed Kale. These are some of the healthiest foods that are ready to be enjoyed by hotel visitors. Available for both on-site and delivery meals.
“It’s never too late to start a healthy life and care for the planet. Likewise, no action is in vain to improve the environment on the planet we live in. No matter how small the action is, we should make it a lifestyle. Happy Earth Day!” Masaya Hasebe, General Manager of Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach.
